Teachers are the disguised artists of the most beautiful form of art 'Teaching'. Like an artist presents its extraordinary creation in front of a large crowd and receives appreciation, a teacher too has a unique stature of presenting their lessons to their students in a creative manner. The performance of the student in academics and life renders a teacher its recognition.
Though teaching methodology today heavily differs than what it was the end of the 20th century and 21st century beginning, our present 21 day education ardently indulges indigenous interaction between teachers and the students.
Present Day Academic Resultant
The 21st century industrial demands are eccentric! It has started giving stature to new skill-sets and is encouraging its employees to increase their expertise perimeter, so that they can contribute more in their day-to-day functioning. This rising demands of skill-sets have made an evolutionary change in the education pattern. From the days of reciting lessons, impartation of education has shifted towards a new student oriented teaching learning process. The shift has induced self initiations by the students where they use internet facilities for learning (though many regard online learning as a threat to regular pedagogical methods, which is not true). In reality, online education contents are breakthrough supplementary tools for the teachers and their contribution to the students for gripping knowledge in this learning medium is imperative.
Some of the benefits of online education portals include:
a) Use of online contents like videos and pictures in class-rooms.
b) Flexibility on course delivery and syllabus covering time.
c) Promotion on self search of online education contents for imparting relevant information.
However, in contrast to this sudden change, the old school technical teachers have become vulnerable as they are not equipped and neither aligned to the 'Do it yourself' educational format. Consequently, the education sector is facing a dearth of technical institutes which can contribute in imparting the necessary skills. Industrial Learning After completion of graduation, the dice resides on the students' quarter. It becomes the students' duty of rolling the dice and exhibiting their talents in the real world industry battlefields. Their minimal inabilities make them feel insecure during the early days of their career; however, whatever gaps that remain in the knowledge tank of the students is filled by the "Industrial and Communication Tools (ICT)".ICT is made easily available to the students and it helps them in unconventional learning. They choose courses of their interest and learn through industry guidance and equipments. Later, it depends on the students on applying their acquired knowledge in solving desk problems to yield optimum results.
After completing a year in their job, students who pursue higher education actually take the fruitful decision of securing a better professional career. The only reason being that workplace these days welcomes such candidates against any individual with an excellent grade chart but no relevant industry experience (I would suggest the students to stay one step ahead in their learning pace and take their decisions as par to industry requirements).
Spaces Create Aces
It is evident from the 'universal space' (where earth's rotations and revolutions results in days, nights and seasons) that space restores humdinger dreams by granting movements. To retrieve healthy learning among their students, management of every institute must provide learning spaces in forms of classrooms in laboratories or laboratories in classrooms. Aside, for rational development of students, the management should also emphasize on:
i) Training the Teachers: Giving industrial exposure to teachers enable them in solving real life problems relating the contents of industrial curriculum.
ii) Student Centric Learning: Introducing more learning tools and making them available to students.
Infrastructure Development: Constructing advanced technical learning. Today, in this student centric learning saga, teachers are beyond saints for their students! The only challenge the teachers face is keeping abreast with latest contents and sorting them for later usage. (As told to HER Team)
